1.Name: The name of the association shall be Kurdish medical Association - UK also known as KMA - UK 2.KMA - UK is an association that will provide a foundation for Kurdish medical and paramedical individuals residing in the united kingdom and offer help and support to colleagues newly arriving to the UK |

3.The objectives of the KMA are a.Keep an up to date registry of allkurdish medical, dental andparamedical individuals living in the UK b.Provide support to medical bodies and universitiesin all parts of Kurdistan and links with kurdish medical arganizations. c.Put in place a strategy to provide medical assistance in any part of Kurdistan when needed. |

d.Co-operate and work with other organizations, universities, bodies andcharities to promote issuesof health and well being in all Kurdistan. e.Raise the medical standards and health status in all parts of Kurdistan. f.Establish links with other Kurdish medical organizations in other countries. g.Establish links with all other medical organizations and bodies in the UK |

4.The official language of communicationof KMA-UK will be Kurdish and English. 5.KMA-UK is not a political body and will not have any affiliation to any of the Kurdish political parties working in exile or in kurdistan. It's main purpose is to servethe people of kurdistan and bring together Kurdish medical and paramedical people under one umbrella. However KMA-UK will liaise to provide it's medical services to any of the political parties when needed. |

KMA-UK during its first two years will operate under the auspices of Kurdistan National Congress (KNC) which will provide space, secretarial service ect. The decision to continue as such will be reviewed in the first AGM The Executive committee will undertake to obtain a charity status for the association 6.Membership KMA-UK shall admit to membership all kurdish medical, dental and paramedical persons. it also welcomes as honorary members non-Kurdish medical and paramedical persons who sympathize with the Kurdish cause.The Executive committee may in exceptional circumstances consider requests for members of non medical individuals who have shown dedcation to the kurdish cause and organized the provisions of health aids and medical relief to the suffering Kurds in Kurdistan. All applications for membership shall be considered by the Executive committee who shall decide whether to accept each application. |

Kurdish Medical Association - UK minutes of meeting date 25.7.99 a meeting was held to discuss the constitution for a proposed Kurdish Medical Association. A draft of the constitution and Bylaws had been put together beforehand and detailed discussion took place. A finalized version of the constitution was concluded (enclosed) for a formal and discussion in the next meeting hopefully in the presence of more colleagues. |

| It was decided by a majority of votes that an interim Executive committee be selected from the members present to carry through the responsibilities of the newly formed KMA-UK until the next meeting. | ||||||
